Lymphatic Drainage Cellulite – Can Liposuction Help To Cure Cellulite?

Lymphatic Drainage Cellulite

Lots of people have cellulite, and lots of people wish that they could do something about it. People try a number of different things to help them to be able to fix it. Given that people have heard that liposuction (also known as lipoplasty and suction lipectomy) can help people to reduce and remove their excess fat, some people wonder whether a lipoplasty can help them to fix their cellulite. This article will look at what cellulite is and whether or not this surgery can help.

Although many people treat cellulite as though it is a disease, it is in fact not. It is typically only unsightly and not actually dangerous, although some suggest that it can interfere with lymph drainage. Cellulite is simply the name that we give to puckered or bumpy fat. When fat cells just under the skin swell, this causes cellulite. These swollen cells can cause collagen fibers to become distended or deformed. These collagen fibers are a lot of what give the skin its shape. When the collagen fibers bend, they pull on the skin, distorting it and giving it the typical “orange peel” appearance of cellulite. In order to look at whether liposuction can help with this problem, we first have to look at what the surgery is and what it does. A lipoplasty is a surgical procedure which removes fat from certain parts of the body. This surgery is performed by using a special hollow needle called a cannula. Using this cannula, the doctor breaks up and suctions out the fat.

This fat removal is, unfortunately, typically below the level of the fat that causes cellulite, so it will likely not fix the problem. In fact, many surgeons believe that the surgery could actually increase the appearance of cellulite. This can be caused by an increase in the looseness of the skin at the site of the surgery. A lipoplasty can also sometimes put strain on the collagen, and if it damages it, this could increase the dimpled appearance of the cellulite.

Some experts believe that laser lipolysis can help by stimulating collagen growth. However, there are also a number of people who strongly disagree. Liposuction is typically not a good solution for fixing cellulite. People who have significant cellulite should look elsewhere for things to help with this problem. However, if you would like to know more about what the effects of lipoplasty would be on your cellulite, please speak with a cosmetic surgeon in your area. Many surgeons offer free consultations to potentially interested clients. Lymphatic Drainage Cellulite
